Jane Eyre remains one of my favourite stories, and definitely one of my favourite heroines.

In this series, I use pastel and crayon to create marks inspired by the text on the specific page.

These pages (page 36 and 37) showcase Jane's fabulous defiance of Mrs Reed. She claims her voice, and while it has a cost, she's unafraid.
