Jane Eyre presents an interesting heroine, and one I've been drawn to.

In this series, I use pastel and crayon to create marks inspired by the text on the specific page.

These pages (pages 2 and 7) deal with Jane's escape through reading, and her pushing back against the dislike of Mrs Reed.
